I figured since not much is going on with planning I would update all of you on what we are doing in general. Last
Wednesday Robbie and I met in Minnesota to go up to North Dakota for his friend Chris' wedding. I got there first and then he arrived about 3 hours later ( 1 hour later than he was supposed to...stupid airlines) We headed out and went to the Mall of America:-) then went to dinner with his friends Patrick and Suzie. They were extremely nice and I was excited to meet them. After that we headed to Fargo, North Dakota where the wedding would take place. This was about a 4 hour drive and included me trying to stay awake then giving up and going to sleep while Robbie drove and drank a huge monster and a code red mountain dew. He also turned up the radio but had it only coming out his speaker so he wouldn't bother me or wake me up, how sweet:-) We finally arrived and crashed as soon as we got to the hotel. We had a big day
Thursday, so we needed lots of sleep.
We got up
Thursday morning and drove and hour to go to where Robbie went to College. He showed me around and he even got to see a few new things that weren't there when he graduated. We also visited Trudy (and I'm not sure if that is spelled right so Robbie let me know) who acted as
every one's away from home mom when they were all at school there. We had to of course go to the new hockey building, which was HUGE! and then we went in the gift shop and got some new Fighting Sioux stuff. He kept picking out things he wanted to have someday to put in our basement. We met up with Dusty and
Charlotte (again spelling) for lunch and they were also really nice. After all of that we headed back to Fargo and got ready for the Rehearsal and dinner.
We arrived earlier than the bride had asked just so we wouldn't be late and no one was there...
That's ok we got to look around the church. We went to dinner after and the food was really good. Then it was time for the bachelor and
bachelorette parties. I went with the girls and we had fun, it was a tea party hats included:-) The boys had fun to from what Robbie told me, and he was home before I was!
Friday Robbie went golfing with the wedding party boys and then we had the rest of the day to ourselves, it was really nice. We went shopping and went to see 17 again. It was nice to be able to go somewhere without others joining us or going with us. We do enjoy time with others but it was
definitely nice to have an afternoon alone.
Saturday was the big day. I took Robbie to the church then came back and went to sleep. The wedding wasn't until 5 so I didn't want to sit around the church, so sleeping was what I decided to do:-) The wedding went very well, the weather was AMAZING! and everyone seemed to have fun. At the reception Robbie and I got to dance for the first time:-) We had lots of fun and I got to meet even more of his friends. When it was time for the bouquet toss, I
reluctantly got up there and stood in the front and what do you know it comes right to me:-) Then Sunday we headed back to Minnesota and then parted ways at 5:-( It was hard to leave him again but he is coming here on the 28
Th!
So I have pictures to post but I'm tired so those won't be up until probably tomorrow night.
